Andy Hamilton is a writer and journalist based in the west of Ireland.
He has written a number of short stories, published on this site and elsewhere, and is continuing to inch, ever so painstakingly, towards the completion of his debut novel, Georgina.
He has worked at The Clare People newspaper since 2005 and his freelance work has appeared on numerous occasions in all the national daily newspapers in Ireland.
Born in Philadelphia and raised in north Clare, Andy now lives in Galway with his partner, two daughters, a dog and three grumpy chickens. He likes long walks on the beach and getting caught in the rain.
